Hi everybody,

i'm proud to release my second combi collection with 65 combi's for the Korg M3 v2.0 Expanded only!

It's called 'Qui Robinez – Visions of Shiva Combi Collection V2.0'.

This soundset is made exclusively for the Korg M3 synthesizer. It uses lots of the special features that the Korg M3 synthesizer has to offer. The combi’s were designed to showcase and test the different features KARMA has to offer.

Most combi's of my previous shared collection are in this set, if the name is the same, then it's only converted to V2.0. However, if the combi got a new name then it is a new combi or a modified combi from my previous collection.

I use these combi's a lot with my piano so that each combi follows whatever i'm doing on the piano. Just try them all out, there are lots of tricks hidden in the combi's. Also try every Combi without KARMA enabled (sorry Stephen ), almost every combi has a nice solo sound to play with (especially the pad sounds) when you disable KARMA.

In the PDF file i've attached to this set there is info about the category and the Tempo of each patch. There is also an Appendix added to the pdf file with all used chord progressions per patch so you can jam along with them,

This is the patch list of the collection:

Qui - you are a star!

Thank you sooooo much.

I will try these out this evening and if they are half as good as your original combi's then you should really start charging for them or at least accepting donations, through paypal for example.

OUTSTANDING !

I have had my M3 for several months now, and I am constantly learning.
I check this forum daily, and must say that the Korg supporters are the best! I had been a Roland user for years, and cannot believe I did not make the move sooner! Mr Kay has created a family here, and I feel blessed to be able to be in the "same room" of some amazing artists here. (And I keep hoping I will be able to absorb some of the skills)

Your combi's are AMAZING qrobimez! And you deseve so much more than just a "thank you" can provide. I was up until about 2am and could have kept going - the generous support of users such as yourself CHANGE PEOPLES LIVES! After a stressful day at work - I can now enter the world of Korg and with the help of your creations and Steven Kay's amazing Karma ... everything is "OK"

Hi again,

after a happy and looong night with the new QR Sound set, i have something to say to QRobinez:

R E S P E C T --> QRobinez!!!

I only can imagine how much hours, time and passion do you spent into your Combis...
Really smooth and pretty Sound coming out of the M3...

Your Combis made with so much attention to detail...
It's just making fun to lean back a bit an listen to what the Karma can do alone...

Really beautiful Chillout Combis! particularly #6 Spiritual Revolution #42 Silver Stars and #43 Tressure Pad are my real favorit Chillout Combis of this Set.

There are many many more things i could tell, but it would blow up the post here

So thank you so much for sharing and all the work that you do for all here...
I really appreciate it! and i like your Musical Taste!

So my verall Conclusion:

Seven Stars ******* and both Thump up!

you've really outdone yourself Qui. all we need now is for Korg to add more blank slots to add more stuff to. between your combi set, Proto Rock and Dan there are very few slots for me to use right now. I'm a very happy and yet annoyed individual

Everybody thanks for the remarks so far

I'm really glad to read that everyone can find some combi's in the set that they can use or got inspired by

@paimoo:
good to see that you like the Silver Stars Combi. Actually i didn't want to include it in the set first because of the acoustic bass i've used. I liked that sound, but it is a little bit out of place compared to the other combi's. So i was happy to read that you liked it. The lead in that combi is one of my favorite leads to play with.

I'm not sure if everyone discovered that the Choir demo i've uploaded to youtube is also in this Set. (i've reprogrammed this combi so that you can use it on the M3 only (without samples and radias card).
the reprogrammed combi is F018: Cathedral Angels QR, press KARMA button 3 to have the full orchestral section play along just like on the video.

The demo where you see me playing this combi can be found here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWHbl6cHqgg&fmt=18

@PharmerTom:
great to read that you are that enthousiastic about the set and the Karma-Lab forum. Don't hesitate to ask questions on this forum if some things of the M3 are unclear. We are happy to help you out.

@DavC:
I don't have any XS8 performances which are a perfect match with the M3 combi's, I mainly use the s700 Piano together with my own performances. Although it's a good idea to create some performances on the XS8 to combine with my own M3 combi's, i doubt that a lot of people use the XS8 together with the M3, so i'm not sure if i want to spend a lot of time on that.

the good news is that I'm currently working on a XS8 performance set (comparable to this soundset, but more focused on the acoustic site of performances). If you want i can let you beta-test the performances when i'm done with. If so, let me know. I'm also working on a soundset for the Spectrasonics synth Omnisphere.

But back on topic for the M3, now that we have the Korg M3 software we can create our own GE's.

I've got plans to create a new GE bank completely dedicated to Dance / Trance purposes. Off course i'm going to add lots of new combi's which makes full use of these User created GE's. I'm already in the proces of learning the M3 software so i'm starting next year with this new project
