These Program where all made
using the AL1 Exi Synth Engine.
We have included 32 programs
here giving an assortment of
bass, strings, pads and synths.
Just for you to hear first hand
what we have been doing
recently with the Oasys.

If you hate the sounds
love them? like them?
please let us know.
we would appreciate that
and it would provide
us with some feed back.

We try to do different
type of sounds that are
simular to the likes of
edgey upbeat synth and
ambience or D&B, textured
atmospheric type sounds
that are mod and tweak
trips.

thanks to Stephen for giving us
the opportunity here.
Regards
Mick

A first (too) short impression. When exploring the sounds, I think they are indeed not common and can be used for different music styles.

Not my cup of tea, but that's a matter of taste. A bit too harsh and distorted to me sometimes and heavily used on effects.

But you are certainly using the AL1 power and doing some original programming.

Hi Mick -

Great sounds! They really go right though you. The AL-1 is such a beast. I auditioned them on headphones and they get right into your head - wow and phew!

I love a bunch of them from about no.16 - no.25 - you were on a roll there - and especially 20 and 25 - there's a 'grannular' feel to them in the lower end of the keyboard that's really raw. You definitely know how to get an a hard edge from AL-1 and the great effects on the oasys.

I'll find use for these sounds in lots of different projects - thanks!

You should post them on www.korgforums.com also.

cheers,
Kevin.

Thanks allot,

Well the reply from AG gave us some valuable
input we were thinking and had concern as to
if these sound would be to hard with the Distortion
So we will work on that giving the user more control
to add it or not.

Am glad to hear that from you Knolan
Yes the AL1 is serious. true
very crude looking animal
can easily be overlooked
not knowing that the things a killer.

We figured the AL1 out a little where we got
some systematic approach and where the
effects should be used cratively DMOD
for the sound possibilities can be endless.

About the effects use from what AG said ,
Actually one reason why we used a little more
effects than we would like to typically use
is because we do not use the MFX and TFX
for any of our sounds when we go into creating
with the Oasys.

We tend to leave these alone
because if someone is going to make music
with the Oasys we feel the user tends to set
those effect up for their own taste.

Usually i think when someone creates using the Oasys
someone will add reverb or chorus or delay using the MFX or TFX.
or compressor

Depending on which one you use in the master section
you can easily deactivate the ones we setup and put to use
in our programs because you will always find them at the bottom
where the least important effect is usally put to use only just to add
some extra ambience or color or delay sometime all three
if you look some of the programs insert effects section
in our programs - Soo if you take these out
you will have free effect slots back for you to use how you want.
which will bring the program back to a more
average amount of effets being used.

Regard
Mick

Hi Mr Nyquisto,

I'm surprised that there have not been more comments on your 32 great programs.

I've just spent over 1 hour with patch No 001 Mythical Guitar Vamp.
......and that's just playing 1 keyboard key with KARMA and Latch on!

My friend uses a MicroKorg in his band THE TAJALLI VORTEX which is a 'noise' band.
I think he will just *melt* when he comes to visit the OASYS.

OK, this music is not for everyone, but your sounds suit the style well.
At first, I couldn't stay in the same room as they played, but as Jonny the drummer said
"I listen to 'noise' sometimes in the morning, and it clears my sound pallete for the whole day.

I find myself liking their spontaneity and creativity more and more.

Live Gig

Please keep me posted when you have more patches to share.

Regards,

PureHeartVideo
