Thanks for the comments and orders. Some of you should be getting these, soon!

On DVD players here in Europe it will shurely not run as we have only PAL.
Will report on it.
I have heard that PC drives are good with NTSC discs. I haven't really talked with customers about how they play my other DVDs, but a good portion of my orders are international.

I believe Hollywood NTSC discs are region 1. Even if a PAL player can recognize the format, the region lock doesn't allow you to see it.

Please let me know how you play back - computer, console player, etc. I may be able to help, if there is a problem.

Thanks for your offer.
I'm experimenting myself now by burning an NTSC video and check how it works. I have also a DVDplayer on region1, so that should not be the biggest problem. Anyway I will let you know about
Good sales

Hi all,

In the UK, many DVD players can play back multiple formats, and many TVs can show NTSC on PAL meaning that they can properly show an NTSC DVD on a PAL TV.

Also, many DVD players can be 'unlocked' to become 'region-free' - and therefore play any region's DVD.

To find out if your DVD player is 'unlockable' (usually by a few key-presses entered on the remote controller, or sometimes a code burned to a DVD and inserted into the DVD player) look HERE
The list is quite long, but is alphabetical, and also there is a forum for if your DVD player isn't mentioned.

THIS DOES NOT HARM YOUR DVD PLAYER.

I hope this helps some of us!

My "UNOFFICIAL OASYS" DVD arrived in today's post in UK
(just to let folk know how quick the post is)
Shrink-wrapped and evrything. Very professional
I ordered it on 6 December and it shipped the same day

INSTANT USER FEEDBACK.........

My first 'revelation' came after only 3 minutes.
**** You can get the SAME KARMA riff on different Progs/Combis by turning OFF the 'Load Karma' on the Global page. It makes the KARMA remain the same when changing patches.****

It might be a basic concept, but to me - a neophyte - having Mike explain how all those mysterious settings ARE USED PRACTICALLY is ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS

Now I'm REALLY excited at the prospect of getting to grips with the OASYS!

(and he ain't payin' me) [yet!]

My turban's off to you Mike.

I received my DVD a couple of days ago and would highly recommend it to anyone who is not already a total expert. Already learned several new things about the Oasys. For example, I had no idea you could press the General MIDI bank button repeatedly to cycle through variations.

Rkarlberg, I'm glad that you are learning things - hopefully, quite a bit more, as you get deeper into it. Be sure to check your menu selection screen, as a couple of items aren't that obvious.

Hey, keep the clothes on! Seriously, I really value your support and feedback, Abdul. I've noticed more than a few posts where you are promoting videos that I release. It's appreciative people, like you, that I really enjoy doing this for. (The OASYS community is one of the nicest I have come across.) I plan on putting some new ones up.

-Mike

Hi Mike

Santa came early, the DVD landed in Australia today, only 1 week from ordering to delivery.

Thanks for taking the time to create the DVD and giving Oasys users good value for money - I would have gladly paid twice as much as you charged for this.

Merry Christmas and have a prosperous 2008.

Hmm......

We should start a support group for people who have become separated from their OASYS.

......send them occasional comforting emails...... 'I saw one just like yours the other day, and thought of you'

As we know, OASYS's are like cats.....THEY choose their owners.

It could be you or me next! Who knows.
