I'm going to gig with my oasys and PDF reader on it solve my prob. with notation, lyrics and of course manuals. Access for it can be made in DISK mode 'MISC'. ''my combi is still playing when I access it''., and there I like to find tuner for my guitar, Mp3 and wave player with playlist, and that kind of software wich is not included in original concept of workstation ( MISC ).
And one day EXi Trition EX with sample libraries, engine and option for loadin' PCG and SNG files.
I'll pay for it with !
It's open arhitecture isn't it?
And I like to see wishlist forum and other's to make inspiration for programers and Korg team.
1) Karma Feature on/off should be a global setting for combis and progs.
2) Simplify the Sequencing and CD recording
3) VOlume level on all the progs and combis should be the same when switching between different ones.
4) Add an onscreen menu tab for Combis and Progs only replacing the small arrow window at the top.
5) Replace and remove the bank select buttons(Use touch screen for selecting) with 8 more pads and "intro and ending" buttons as on the arrangers.
6) A 61 key version.
7) "Pad mode velocity" setting should be a global setting or should be set standard "sensitive".
8) Separate sliders and mode switch for the "mixer and tone" away from Karma.
9) All the On screen "effects and settings" should be 1 separate tab with subcategories selectable by an Effects tab and or Effects Mode switch. Sequencer should be a Tab with subcategoties.
10) "External" should be a selectable Mode.
11) On screen "mode tab" categories with subcategories for each mode.
12) Separate tab for CX3 tonewheel organ

If I purchased an Oasys, I would add my Roland A-50 keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch and a vocal harmonizer. My wish would be to do away with the extra equipment by incorporate polyphonic aftertouch and vocal harmony in the Oasys. More generally, there should be GEs devoted to controlling vocal effects, as the Oasys has mic inputs. The vocal harmony and other vocal effects is just a software upgrade and would be appreciated by many who both play keyboards and sing. The polyphonic aftertouch is a longer shotdue to its expense and the fact that most musicians cannot figure out what it is.
A third more future-oriented request would be to incorporate OSC as an advanced replacement for MIDI. This would replace 8-bit precision of MIDI with 32-bit precision, and allow more flexible designation of controller sources and destinations. See the "Lemur" at www.cycling74.com for an example of a controller using this technology.
-Maybe a way to reallocate resources dinamically in such way that you could eliminate from memory i.e. EXs1 and load EXs2 without any need to restart the system (I don't know how much time will take to appear the new O.S. supporting more memory....but even so, it could be a good idea in case you have 2 GB of memory and 3 or more EXs libraries with 500 MB each one as in the piano)
A chord anticipate button would allow the user to hit a chord trigger at any point between bars and karma would recognise it as a change for the next bar.
Since the OASYS has audio feeds, it would be great if you could use your voice to scat the timbre and also use your voice to pitch shift as a step sequence and then sample the progression.A real wild option would be to sound your voice as a mono pitch and then specify what chord would be applied to the root pitch...is it ready yet Stephen ?
Being an owner of a Triton Studio, there are two things I often wish it could do - and easily COULD do - but instead I have to use other devices to accomplish the given tasks.
The first is a built-in Metronome. A tab in the performance modes that provided basic metronome capabilities would be a nice touch.
The second is the ability to slow down, transpose, and loop CDs when playing them back from the built-in CD player. This would be useful for learning new songs.
Since many of the owners of a synth also use it for practicing and learning new songs, they would be great bonus features.
