This slow to mid-tempo Electronic/Pop Performance features KARMA Wave-sequencing to create a riff with randomly selected wavesamples for an interesting sonic backdrop. A simple laidback acoustic drum-kit groove backs up a rhythmic analog style saw-synth bass pattern with KARMA pitch-bending, a busy staccato plucked saw-synth/mallet pattern with random panning, the previously mentioned KARMA Wave-sequence pattern which has been set up to provide the user with 14 different sets of wavesamples to select between using Master Slider 8, and a mellow, atmospheric sine-synth arpeggio (muted in the wake-up scene). The Fill button triggers a suitable matching drum fill with different variations in the scenes.

The LH/KARMA area provides a bright octaves synth pad, while the RH area provides two different voices for soloing controlled by A.Sw2: a polyphonic ethnic pan flute/shakuhachi/synth layer, and a monophonic warm analog synth lead with a touch of portamento. A.Sw1 transposes the bass up, modulates filter cutoff and resonance on the Bass, and adds portamento to the Arpeggio (if playing) to provide an alternate tonal variation. In this Performance, the A.Switches are not set to be stored in the scenes, so they can be freely toggled on and off at any time without scene changes affecting them - so you'll find the ethnic flute layer in all scenes.

Motif Arps/Special Notes
  • Two Motif arps can be added as additional elements: Pads 9 to 12 trigger a syncopated digital chord pattern, while Pads 13 to 16 trigger an octave synth riff - both of which have ascending scale steps based on the last-played chord and can be layered on top of each other.
