This mid-tempo Industrial Rock Performance features a distorted 303 synth pattern with pitch-bending at center stage. Underneath is a heavy-rock drum groove with open hi-hats, a simple kick accentuating synth bass pattern, a gated synth-strings pattern with a +2 transpose in the second measure that can be switched on/off via Master Layer Switch 4, a power-chord rock guitar pattern which is off in the startup scene but can be heard in many of the other scenes, and a fat syncopated snare and toms fill for linking the scenes controlled by the Fill button.

A fat mono sync lead is provided in the RH area for soloing that can be changed to a polyphonic vocal pad (using A.Sw2) for use in less busy scenes or to provide a build-up - you'll find it is stored in Scenes 1 to 3 as the vocal pad. A bright synth pad feeds chords into KARMA in the LH area, which can be filter-swept with the ribbon. Scene 7 raises the energy level with a double time drum and bass groove and Scene 8 collapses the mix into an orgy of pitch-bending madness!

Motif Arps/Special Notes
  • Pads 9 to 12 and 13 to 16 trigger two different Motif arp trance patterns in ascending scale steps based on the last-played chord, useful for adding an extra dimension to the mix - try alternating between the two, for example with Pads 9 and 13.
  • Use A.Sw1 to transpose the RH lead sound down by two octaves, use A.Sw2 to change it from a mono sync lead to a poly vocal pad.
  • You can store which lead sound you want to use in each scene because the "Assignable Switches In Scenes" checkbox is on under A.Sw2 in the Real-Time Controls Editor - it is stored as the vocal pad in Scenes 1 to 3.

Scene 2 (simpler) - the full guitar pattern is added, percussion picks up, while the synth changes to a low-velocity pattern that produces a muted sound; the RH synth sound has been stored with A.Sw2 on, for the vocal pad
