Klub Europa 126 BPM - 4/4 Euro-Dance Lead Synth
hand diagram
Moving into Euro-Dance/Trance territory, this Performance consists of a simple synth-bass octaves pattern, a bubbly random filter synth pattern, a pattern of periodically scattered arpeggiated synth notes, a typical Euro House drum groove, and a trancy filtered gated pad sound to wrap it all up. The Fill button triggers a complimentary dance fill with all 8 scenes have different interesting fill variations including the typical crescendoing fast 16ths and 32nds snare rolls with pitch bend, that you can mix and match using the Scene Matrix page. Try holding down the Fill button for super-long fills that get very loud and really crank up the energy.

The LH provides a thick "synth stack" synth pad, while the RH provides a mono saw lead with portamento, which can have a higher octave added to it for a thicker octave lead using A.Sw2. A.Sw1 increases resonance on the Synth Riff, Arpeggio and Gated Synth, and delay on the Gated Synth for alternate tonal variations you can switch in at any time.
Left Hand: Synth stack
Right Hand: Analog synth lead (mono)
A.Sw2 = add higher octave element

Motif Arps/Special Notes
  • Two Motif arps can be added as additional elements: Pads 9 to 12 trigger a cyclic 16th arpeggio with a timed slow filter sweep, while Pads 13 to 16 trigger a syncopated trance riff - both of which have ascending scale steps based on the last-played chord and shut each other off, courtesy of the Chord Trigger exclusives - try alternating between them, for example, Pad 9 and Pad 13.
  • When not in Remote Mode, use Tone 1 Knob 8 to add a beat-syncrhonized delay effect to the Drums and Fill.

Scenes (Master) Description
Scene 1 (simplest) - simple four-on-the-floor kick and alternating hih-hat with minimal activity from the bass, synth riff and arpeggio muted, focus is on the gated synth; crescendoing snare fill
Scene 2 (simpler) - opens up some space in the bass and kick drum, backbeat claps, single notes on the synth riff, muted arpeggio, choppy gated synth, providing a simple syncopated variation - and a snare hit every 16 bars; diving pitch-bending machine gun snare fill
Scene 3 (simpler) - four-on-the-floor kick, brings down the energy a bit from Scene 4 by removing the claps and shortening durations on some parts, arpeggio and gated synth read-off phrases; crescendoing toms fill
Scene 4 (simpler) - drops out the snare from the startup scene, with the arpeggio moving to playing some chords and alternating with the gated synth in a double-time variation; diving pitch-bending machine-gun snare fill
Scene 5 (startup) - the basic full groove; randomized machine-gun snare fill
Scene 6 (busier) - dials up the energy a notch with doubled hi-hats and bass notes, and dropping out the space in the gated synth; root-fifth synth riff, high arpeggio notes; crescendoing machine-gun snare fill
Scene 7 (busier) - an alternate variation with bending and buzzing on the drums, and bending on the bass, gated synth and arepggio trade-off phrases every 8 beats for more space; 32nd-note crescendoing toms fill
Scene 8 (breakdown) - drops out the drums and substitutes percussion, while keeping the hi-hat going, along with bending single notes on the bass for a breakdown effect, gated synth and arpeggio continue trading-off every 8 beats; very high-pitched panning machine-gun snare fill
