Sunset in Cyberville 100 BPM - 4/4 Electronica Lead Synth
hand diagram
This mid-tempo Electronica Performance features KARMA Wavesequencing to create a sound collage of random wavesamples and notes which appear briefly across the stereo spectrum, consisting of a busy hi-hat driven groove with bongos and white noise snare, an analog style pulse wave bass pattern emulating the rhythmic feel of early analog step-sequencers, the previously mentioned "random wavesample trigger" GE (by KARMA Wavesequencing), which has been set up to provide the user with 5 different sets of wavesamples to select between using Master Slider 7, an ascending, rhythm randomized plucked saw wave arpeggio and an analog synth riff with a slow LFO controlled filter sweep (heard in Scenes 5,7 & 8). The Fill button triggers a noise snare and heavy analog syn-drums tom fill with many variations in the scenes.

A swirling motion synth layer is provided in the LH/KARMA input area, while a warmly round synth lead is provided in the right hand span of the keyboard for soloing, with the assignable switches controlling the octave and kicking in a chorus effect.
Left Hand: Motion synth
Right Hand: Warm synth lead (mono)
A.Sw1 = octave down, A.Sw2 = chorus
Split Points: * B2/C3
Motif Arps/Special Notes
  • Two Motif arps can be added as additional elements: Pads 9 to 12 trigger an offbeat HPF dance riff, while Pads 13 to 16 trigger an analog synth riff with decaying velocity echo-like effect - both of which have ascending scale steps based on the last-played chord and can be layered on top of each other.
  • In several of the scenes, one or more parts are muted to provide space - but be sure to try unmuting them for additional variations and real-time mixing.

Scenes (Master) Description
Scene 1 (breakdown) - arpeggiated pitch-bend and buzzy delays on the drums, snare noise, muted bass/lead and synth, periodic panning single notes from the arpeggio, strange noises from the wav-seq; heavy synth toms fill
Scene 2 (simplest) - basic percussion, focus on the bass/lead, a lot of sfx from the wave-seq, periodic panning bending sawtooth effect from the arpeggio; high-pitched synth toms fill with vibraslap
Scene 3 (simpler) - breakdown drum groove with snare-slap noise, congas and perc, bass/lead variation, periodic arpeggio phrase, different wave-seq noises; synth tom fill with fast delays
Scene 4 (simpler) - arpeggiated pitch-bend on the drums and conga groove (half-time), another bass/lead variation, periodic arpeggio notes with bend, chords on the wave-seq sounds from slider 8; fast panning toms fill
Scene 5 (simpler) - more activity on the bass/lead and drums, the dark atmospheric snare sound is introduced, the synth module is finally introduced with a L/R dotted-eight pattern, chords on the waveseq; snare and toms fill
Scene 6 (startup) - the basic full groove, snare and toms fill
Scene 7 (busier) - more activity on the drums, perc and bass/lead, bending on the wave-seq sfx, synth module is added; syncopated toms fill
Scene 8 (busiest) - snare switches to slap noise, low sweeping L/R notes out of the synth, bend on the arpeggio; rising busy toms fill with delays
