Synthorchestra Disko 96 BPM - 4/4 Electronica/Disco Lead Synth

This "Electronica" Performance features a full-on electro-disco style, consisting of an up tempo disco drum groove with congas and claps, a bouncing saw-wave synth bass doing octave jumps, a saw-wave synth simulating disco violins, a gated synth pattern which alternates with the disco violins and a lively bubbling stacatto synth pattern which slowly pans left and right. The Fill button for this Performance introduces a swooping synth arpeggio doing triplets (in the startup scene and some others) and other variations, which silences the Strings Module for its duration.

A synth pad with bandpass filter sweep is provided in the LH area, and two different mono lead synth sounds are provided in the RH area, controlled by A.Sw2 - you'll find the setting is stored in the scenes such that the odd-numbered scenes have a bright saw lead, while the even-numbered scenes have a square wave lead. Also stored in the scenes is the setting for A.Sw1, which activates filter and resonance modulations on several of the parts for an interesting alternate sound.

Motif Arps/Special Notes
  • Two Motif arps can be added as additional elements: Pads 9 to 12 and Pads 13 to 16 trigger two different dance patterns - both of which have ascending scale steps based on the last-played chord and shut each other off, courtesy of the Chord Trigger exclusives - try alternating between them, for example, Pad 9 and Pad 13. The end of a fill has also been set to stop the arps, in addition to the usual scene changes.
  • When not in Remote Mode, use Tone Adjust Knob 8 to increase the amount of delay on most of the parts, including adding it to the bass and drums, for an interesting beat-synchronized delay effect.
  • A.Sw1 modulates multiple parameters on the voices of all KARMA Modules except the Drums, creating an interesting alternate sound almost like a different scene.
